paint sticks easy peasy and doesn't get behind the paper so it doesn't lift off.
If a primer is needed, would you use the
oil based under the chalk
paint?

based rather than an

based for sealing chalk

if you really want to commit to watching
paint dry, you'll find some
oil -
based paint, which takes six to eight hours to dry to the touch.
