If you're using
vegan cheese,
butter both sides of the bread and put them in your skillet.
If you are
vegan I have placed in some substitutions for the raw grass - fed
butter, but of course you will lose that traditional buttery fudge taste and end up with a slightly more coconutty one but I don't think this is a bad thing and all, and you will probably find that it feels like an even cleaner treat doing so.
And
if you substitute melted coconut oil for the usual
butter... well, you might suddenly have a lot of
vegan friends asking about Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
By the way,
if you don't have
vegan chocolate, you can mix melted cacao
butter with cocoa powder and sweetener of your choice.
If you'd like to try and work around this issue, vigorously mix the flour with some of the stock before pouring it into the pan with the
vegan butter.
