Imagery rescripting in cognitive behaviour therapy: Images, treatment techniques and outcomes
Participants will learn about: the concept of Schema Mode Model, establishing connection, limited reparenting, getting through avoidant modes,
imagery rescripting in relation to reparenting, trauma, flashbacks and dissociation.
There will be opportunities to present problems you have encountered in groups or GST interventions that you want to learn or polish - like
imagery rescripting in a group.
The second talk (Tolgou et al.) will then present data on
imagery rescripting in cancer patients with depression, and will link these findings to clinical practice.
Examples are:
Imagery rescripting in Group Schema Therapy to fight the Punitive Critic mode; Limited reparenting strategies to connect with adolescent clients with Borderline Personality features; Safety interventions for clients with complex trauma.
