I rarely create
pieces that exist in multiple forms, but occasionally some subject matter demands that I look at it both in terms
of an experiential and immersive installation, and also in terms
of its emotional, intimate
impact, better conveyed in a
single - channel video.
No
single work or artist is given priority over another, and the
impact of each
piece is felt in the dialogue created between works, within the greater collectivity
of the show.
Even the filming itself had a positive
impact, with the film crew reportedly collecting and disposing
of / recycling every
single piece of plastic they came across during filming, although they did also run into some controversy over a scene involving plastic ducks...
It will
impact every
single piece of information you get from them.
Bigger art
pieces or groups
of art will make a greater
impact than a
single small framed
piece you can hardly see across the room.
A wall
of thrift - store paintings
of the same subject can have even more
impact than a
single, more expensive
piece.
