This week is also American Education Week, so we have two good reasons to focus on
the importance of public education.
Why I do this work: As the daughter, granddaughter, and sister of public school educators, I grew up with a deep appreciation for
the importance of public education and the opportunities it has provided to me and my loved ones.
As the national organization for school superintendents across the country, AASA is in the best position to lead the dialogue about
the importance of public education.
