As his agent says, it's important that the club has at least two competitive quality strikers and unfortunately as Welbeck can not stay fit, it's very important that Arsenal look to invest in another striker to provide competition to Giroud, rather than replace the Frenchman.

GK down so now the most important position to strengthen is ST.. So many massively underestimate Giroud and Walcott — Strikers that may be available are Martinez, Mandzukic, Higauin can be slightly better than Giroud — but if you take in 1 year to adapt to EPL — they are no improvement over Giroud for next season To improve we need a real world class one and in this market it is clear that he does not come cheap — I won't be surprise if the asking price is somewhere at 50M pound mark.
Spending money to sign Arda Turan will be a waste of money.To me he's world class but he's not what we need at the moment.The most important thing we need in our squad is a new striker and Turan ain't that.It's just gonna be a waste of resources.I really hope Arsene Wenger spends the money he has on a better striker than Lacazette.He might be good but for that amount I think we should be able to get better.

Im not saying Wenger is an idiot but his stubborn refusal to move with the times has cost us dear over the last few years and as Ive already stated earlier in the conversation our resurgence has in part had a lot to do with the competition dropping off in performance rather than us leaping forward, that said we have made improvements and we are playing far better, but I will bet my house that no world class striker will be brought in in the summer and there wont be any really important key players brought in during the summer as Wenger has already laid out his stall in regards to this.

He is not a quality striker because he makes a lot of mistakes in his game.The fact that he scores 20 goals does not mean he is a quality back up striker.It is one thing to be a goal scorer and another thing to be a good or average player.Goal scoring is a very important aspect of a player but not the only aspect.Trust me you can score 20 goals in all competitions and still be average.If Chamakh, Gervinho and all the so called flops scored this same goals they would still have been considered not good enough for Arsenal.His game is just not good enough and I for one believe even if no one believes that we can get a backup striker who is better than him and also a top centre forward.Its all about mentality and willingness.Forget his goals and look at his game or else you'll force me to bring up strikers in the world who have scored his same goals and are even considered terrible.
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
If your going to look at stats of strikers then goals per minute is a more important stat than anything else.
This is very interesting.I look at the number of striking options in our team and i wonder how Wenger will be signing a cf.However as i keep saying a cf is a need not a want.And needs are more important than wants.We have needed a World class cf since Robin Van P. Left.Just look at the feeling you get when you have a world class goalkeeper e.g Cech in the team.You feel relieved you know why?Its because the goalkeeper is very reliable, very talented and consistent.Imagine the feeling you would have when having a world class cf in the team.You feel very relieved you know why?its because the cf is very consistent, is super talented, will at most times finish off chances and will mostly create moments of magic.Arsenal need a world class cf so as to have that sense of reliability and to not put too much pressure on the midfield to always create chances for them.We neeed that consistency infront of goal to excel.Right now arsenal's centre forwards are very inconsistent, unreliable at most times and are not very clinical.We need a world class striker so that at least if the team is not performing he can take control and do something out of nothing.You need to understand the benefits of having a world class cf its not just about goals or talent but about being a leader of the attack, a strong scoring mentality and also the will to be consistent.World class cf's give your attack the ish factor.
