season definitely makes him deserving
of the honor — it's no sympathy vote based on his story.
Mertz should never have been our captain in the first place... who has ever heard
of a team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative
of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part
of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the management style
of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class players because many
times they want to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you play for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some players regardless
of their glaring lack
of production... remember that Ramsey has played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming
season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final week last
season)... this
of course is just one example
of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former player
of any real consequence has any
important role in the management structure

I think our best football this
season was against man city at the emirates, i have never seen arsenal put up that sort
of fight against a top team in a long
time, although we didn't win I was satisfied with the hunger we showed, i would always prefer le coq to Flamini but that is not what would win us this game, we need to show the right attitude, go there to win it, and When I say go there to win it, i don't mean throw everybody forward, I mean go out there with a winning and commited mentality, being ready to throw yourself at the shot, make the all
important tackle instead
of ducking when the cross comes it, all 11 players need to be ready to fight for the win, we need the boys fired up, COYG.
also since montreal when gibbs got injured he was given plenty
of time to heal properly and not being rushed that, s why i think his injury record has got better with
time, like wenger said we are lucky to have them both and kieran is an
important squad player due to his versatility and will have a big part to play in the 2nd part
of the
season, also he is still young and will continue to improve learning from montreal and in the not too distant future he will be our first choice for many years to come, all he needs to do is to keep at it and be patient his
time will come!!

coquelin is a decent player but overrated by many fans because he did fill a gap a couple
of seasons ago when he came back from charlton and did it well... but like ramsey running around non-stop is not in itself the defining feature
of a quality footballer for a DM tackling, positioning, link up play and passing are equally
important coquelin is excellent on two
of these good on one and poor on last two... xhaka overall is a better DM and should be starting all the

Wenger has achieved a huge amount for the club and although some
of it was set prior to his arrival and some
of it was an extension
of his initial success the fact that winds up most
of the anti wenger fans is that the club IS spending money and IS trying to rebuild after a long
time in the wilderness, but when it comes to the spending on players its always the CHEAPER option in the most
important area's Chips Keswick Boasted a # 100» 000 000 war chest during last summers closed

I can only hope that this attempt is taken more seriously than the largely muted and clearly unsuccessful protests
of late last
season... although the plane writing escapade brought some much - needed attention to the matter, it failed to resonate with fence - sitters and those who had just recently fell off the Wenger truck... without a big enough showing
of support the whole endeavor appeared relatively weak and poorly organized, especially to the major media outlets, whose involvement could have significantly changed what was to follow... but I get it, few wanted to turn on their club, let alone make a public display
of their discord... problem is, they are preying on that vulnerability, in fact, their counting on you to keep your thoughts to yourself... who are you to tell these fat cats how to steal your money... they have worked long and hard to pull the wool over your eyes... they even went so far as to pay enormous sums
of cash to your once beloved professor to be their corporate spokesmodel so that the whole thing would be more palatable... eventually the club made it appear as if this was simply a relatively small fringe group
of highly radicalized supporters, which allowed the pro-Wenger element inside the club hierarchy to claim victory following the FA Cup win... unfortunately what has happened to this club can't be solved by FA Cups or a few players coming in, the very culture
of this club needs to be changed and that starts at the top... in order to change the unhealthy and dysfunctional narrative that has absorbed this club we need to remove everyone who presently occupies a position
of power... only then can we get back to the business
of playing championship caliber football, which should always be the number one priority
of this organization... on an
important side note, one
of the most devastating mistakes made in the final days
of this hectic and poorly planned transfer window didn't have to do with the big name players like Sanchez or Lemar, but the fact that they failed to secure Jadon Sancho, who might even start for Dortmund this
season... I think they might seriously regret this oversight... instead
of spending so much
time, energy and manpower pretending that they were desperately trying to make big moves, they once again lost the plot due to their all too familiar tunnel vision

season we will the win the league

time, don't be afraid
of man city, man utd, tottenham, Liverpool, Everton when we we play them away just be patient and respect them at their home grounds sit deep and work hard and we wil get the
important results in our favour in these games and also don't underestimate small sides because these games can give you points and if we you lose or draw against these sides then it can cause huge dent in our title ambitions... COYG!!!

Although it will be incredibly difficult to ever match his contributions on the pitch, it's vitally
important for a former club legend, like Henry, to publicly address his concerns regarding the direction
of this club... regardless
of those who still feel that Henry has some sort
of agenda due to the backlash he received following earlier comments he made on air regarding Arsenal, he has an intimate understanding
of the game, he knows the fans are being hosed and he feels some sense
of obligation, both professionally and personally, to tell it like he sees it... much like I've continually expressed over the last couple months, this team isn't evolving under this current ownership / management team... instead we are currently experiencing a «stagnant» phase in our club's storied history... a fact that can't be hidden by simply changing the formation or bringing in one or two individuals... this team needs fundamental change in the way it conducts business both on and off the pitch or it will continue to slowly devolve into a second tier club... regardless
of the euphoria surrounding our escape act on Friday evening, as it stands, this club is more likely to be fighting for a Europa League spot for the foreseeable future than a top 4 finish... we can't hope for the failures
of others to secure our place in the top 4, we need to be the manufacturers
of our own success by doing whatever is necessary to evolve as an organization... if Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke can't take the necessary steps following the debacle they manufactured last
season, their removal is imperative for our future success... unfortunately, I strongly believe that either they don't know how to proceed in the present economic climate or they are unwilling to do whatever it takes to turn this ship around... just look at the current state
of our squad, none
of our world class players are under contract beyond this
season, we have a ridiculous wage bill considering the results, we can't sell our deadwood because we've mismanaged our personnel decisions and contractual obligations, we haven't properly cultivated our younger talent and we might have become one
of the worst clubs ever when it comes to way we handle our transfer business, which under Dein was one
of our greatest assets... it's
time to get things right!!!
