The combination of hardware optimizations — Qualcomm's done well with the S4 platform on forward — and software tweaks (more on that as you keep reading) has led to some pretty
impressive usage time, especially when you consider that we're not looking at a monster battery capacity.
Not exact matches
There's the InstaShare Projector mod and some stylish case mods, but we found the JBL Soundboost mod to be the most
impressive with its twin 3W speakers and a 1,000 mAh battery to boost the phone's
usage time.
The battery life is
impressive, with anywhere between 4 and 5 and a half hours of screen - on
time possible, and the device has no problem allowing for a full day of
usage comfortably.
The battery won't last you days under high screen
usage time but the 4,000 mAh battery will last you until very late night before you have to recharge it — very
impressive battery life.
But in my testing, I managed to squeeze around 29 hours, with normal
usage with around 4 hours of screen - on
time, which is of course, still very
impressive, but not at the promised level.
With my
usage consisting mainly of gaming and watching Youtube videos, I was able to get up to 8 hours of screen on
time, which is quite
impressive.
Finally, in battery, the 2,750 mAh unit of the iPhone 6S Plus is large enough to provide only about a day and half in total with low overall
usage, though the standby
time is
impressive on the Apple phones.
