Audi has gone to great lengths to
improve weight distribution with the A5 — the new chassis (B8, according to enthusiasts, MLB according to Audi) switched the location of some powertrain components to push the front wheels forward and move the engine rearward.

With the car's battery positioned low in the chassis and towards the rear of the car, both
weight distribution and the car's centre of gravity should be
improved.
Even though the lighter front end
improves the
weight distribution by two points to a tail - heavier 46/54 percent front / rear, the GTC4 Lusso T fuses emphatic body motions
with obvious traction issues.
Over the years, Porsche has dialed in a more balanced and stable chassis
with more even
weight distribution, vastly
improved suspension systems, rear tires wider than the fronts, and the safety net of stability control.
But as the V has an included angle of 60 degrees as opposed to 90
with the 4.2 V8 it actually sits slightly lower and the car's overall
weight distribution has been marginally
improved.
The body is 38 % stiffer torsionally than the old car,
with a lower centre of gravity,
improved weight distribution and a lower hip point for the driver that
improves the driving position.
The W12 engine is positioned lower and further back in the chassis, which helps
with overall
weight distribution; Bentley says the Continental GT's front / rear balance
improves from 58:42 in the outgoing car to 55:45 here.
The result is firmer handling
with much
improved weight distribution.
Besides the numerous motorsports derived adaptations which include a more aerodynamic body (fully made from carbon fiber), a stripped down interior, upgraded brakes and suspension,
improved steering and
weight distribution, the McLaren MP4 12C GT3 has also received a Formula 1 steering wheel mounted
with paddle shifters that operated the6 speed sequential transmission.
The new 2.0 - liter VTEC Turbo also contributes to the RDX's more compact front packaging, shortened front overhang and
improved front / rear
weight distribution (57.4 / 42.6 vs. 60/40 for previous RDX
with all - wheel - drive).
Among its developments is a new front - end architecture,
with the front axle moved further forward compared
with the previous model and the engine tilted back by 12 degrees toward the bulkhead for
improved weight distribution.
The newest Camry Hybrid will share some underpinnings
with the 2016 Prius, including relocating the hybrid battery pack from beneath the trunk floor to beneath the rear seats, something that
improves weight distribution and therefore handling.
With its pair of turbochargers mounted between the vee, the engine is more compact, (according to BMW) focusing its
weight distribution in relation to the front wheels and
improving thermal efficiency.
Along
with an
improved head strap for better comfort and
weight distribution, it seems the Vive Pro is a clear win for HTC.
