reflections: Using video to reflect
upon teaching practice has been shown by several studies to
improve teaching practice or student achievement (Allen, Pianta, Gregory, Mikami, and Lun, 2011; Brantlinger, Sherin, and Linsenmeier, 2011; Roth, Garnier, Chen, Lemmens, Schwille, and Wickler, 2011).
We've recently stumbled
upon this app that leads children through calming stories and guides them through self -
reflection and visualization, and it has dramatically
improved my spirited boy's propensities for excitement and restlessness at bedtime.
