I wore my first

I've recently come back to work after maternity leave and carry my baby to and from day care
in an Ergo.
Walking outside really clears my head and our new house is in a very hilly neighborhood so I'm looking forward to more intense walks (especially since I push a stroller and carry a very heavy 7 month old
in the ergo!).
Our daughter is now 6 month old, and loves being
in the Ergo, so I was super excited to hear that there was a rain cover in production.

I carried my 22 - lb son
in the Ergo up and down San Francisco hills and it never hurt my back.
It seemed bulky and awkward, so we got by using a moby wrap until they were big enough to ride
in the ergo without the infant insert.
At about 13 months of age they became resistant to being
in the Ergo.
I nursed my son
in our Ergo while in a crowded airport bar and nobody even noticed.
They still desired lots of physical closeness with me but would get upset if I tried putting
them in the Ergo.
I can wash dishes, mop the floor, cook a meal, fold laundry, work in the yard / garden, and more all while baby is more than content to hang out with
me in the Ergo.
I was able to stay knowing my tired baby would comfortably sleep
in the Ergo and I could continue socializing.
I, of course, was wearing Sera
in the Ergo.
Loves: Swaddle blankets, soothie pacifiers, being sung to, getting to curl up on mommy's chest while
in the ergo carrier or solly baby wrap, being told she is gorgeous.
My best out - and - about freedom came when I learned to nurse while my daughter was
in the Ergo — the best!
I just had my 4 year old special needs child who is 35 lbs
in our ergo and it killed my back!
As for Lil» B she is completely comfortable both forward and backwards
in the Ergo and unusually calm when she is close to us.
Ergo Baby is the carrier that we used with our daughter and on a rare occasion my 4 year old will still ask to be worn she still fits
in the Ergo.
It's your comment on the noise of the velcro that will help us... because so many time my children fell asleep
in the ergo and I discreetly unlocked the staps to let them sleep on...
I don't know if it was my knees that caused me to fall the day I strapped the baby to my chest
in an Ergo carrier, making sure to carefully tuck him into a padded infant insert, but I know they didn't help me when I needed them most.
A woman worked FULL TIME while keeping her baby
in the Ergo Baby.

The thing I loved the most about wearing the girls
in the Ergo on my back was the fact that our everyday tasks became shared experiences.
My sister Emily is constantly telling me how amazed she is with the ease in which I toss AJ up on my back
in the Ergo.
My youngest was exclusively
in the ergo from birth till the very beginning of her first year.
I returned to work 3 weeks postpartum and kept my baby
in the Ergo from the first day using this.
He always falls asleep
in the Ergo carrier and I end up holding him for 1 - 2 hours while bouncing and patting his back every time he starts to get shifty.

I have shopped with my toddler asleep
in the ERGO on my back and the baby asleep in the moby on the front.
One day I was wearing
him in the Ergo and walking around the Americana (I used to make fun of people who brought babies to malls as an activity - no longer), when I gave up on my eternal fucking diet and bought myself a chicken sausage sandwich.
Wore my first born

WITH the infant insert I found it cooler for me and baby for the baby to be carried
in the Ergo as compared to in my arms, and cooler for baby as compared to a baby - bucket / infant - carseat.
I love how comfortable both my son and I are when I wear
him in the ergo.
I love the way my kids love our ergos, today our son fell asleap while
in the ergo and as soon as we tried to take him from the ergo he woke up and started crying and would not let go of the carrier.
(ps / depending on your youngest's weight, you may be able to get an ergo and continue to carry her for a bit longer, we carried our eldest who is light weight
in the ergo when she was almost 6!)
My husband loves to wear our son
in the Ergo, and it's so much easier once they get mobile and we're taking him in and out often.
In fact, he took most of his naps
in the Ergo the first few months.
It got really hot
in Ergo carrier.
One day, we walked downtown and I attempted to wear him again
in the Ergo carrier.
He was as happy as he could be
in the ergo carrier.
One of the best public nursing positions I have had with my children was
in an ergo carrier.
But then we spent the better part of a day there on near - empty sands sipping fresh juices and cold Red Stripes, swimming with our son — who took a nice long nap on his dad
in the Ergo carrier — and taking shelter from a passing storm in a Rasta shack with excellent curried lobster.
When my kids were that big I could still carry
them in the ergo, but it wouldn't have been comfortable seated on a plane.
