While the blog post is about photography (of religious sites), the general thrust of this blog and the comments in it is re religion (or lack of it).
Posts like this help me pay for the costs associated with this blog (groceries... lots of groceries), and help support me as I pursue a career in recipe development and food photography.
In light of the holiday, I thought it would be fun to highlight some old food photography of mine from 2010 when I last posted about Irish Soda Bread.

When I first started this blog in 2010, I posted a recipe for chocolate - chip and double chocolate meringues, with a really ugly photo, before I learned that you never, ever want to use a flash for food photography.
I like to work with brands in a variety of ways, from sponsored posts (like this one for baked apple oatmeal with Shirley J), to photography, and conference attendance.
I've been finding some really awesome places for food photography props (I'm in the process of writing a post sharing all my finds) and this was one that I just couldn't resist.

Putting together this post, I can't help but pick a part my photos and acknowledge that I still have soooo much to learn about my Canon DSLR and photography in general.
I actually had this recipe post ready to go earlier this week, but decided to put it on hold and re-shoot my photos after attending a Pinch of Yum Tasty Food Photography Workshop in Minnesota.
The photography is just stunning in this post.
