Let's hope the opposite of Sally Hawkins happens this year and Another Year gets plenty enough love from the BAFTAs this year to get her that nomination
in either category (I think the thing to look for
in the longlist is how many of the
supporting cameo players make it
in like they did
in the London Critics lists).

in what are essentially
cameos, whereas Josh Lucas and Ike Barinholtz have more
supporting roles as Felt's subordinates at the FBI.

cameo and a mega hard Super Villain who makes his previous onscreen incarnation seem like Vinny Jones
in a giant penis suit... Oh wait!
Matt Damon is the perfect choice to play the stranded astronaut (even if it's oddly similar to his
cameo in «Interstellar»), while the
supporting cast is comprised of A-list talent that should be headlining their own films.
Ben Foster has a memorable
cameo and Adam Beach is strong
in his
supporting role as Yellow Hawk's son.
The role isn't just a flashy
cameo like Robert Downey Jr. «s over-the-top portrayal of Carl's wife's other ex-husband, but rather, Johansson is working with a layered

in no way relies on a famous face, but rather honesty and how she enhances our main man.

cameo by Martin Landau, Jeffrey Jones (Ravenous, Stuart Little), and a surprising decent Caspar Van Dien (The Omega Code, Starship Troopers), probably because the amount of spoken time allotted to his character was kept at a minimum.
There are so many characters
in these films, it's difficult to make them all feel important, and we're at the stage now where even major characters are effectively sidelined into
cameos and
supporting roles, although that is not fundamentally a problem if the script is strong, as it generally is here.
There are a few standouts
in the
supporting cast as well, including Tiffany Haddish as the lone female Blip (who of course must shoulder the burden of Rell's emotional baggage), plus a delightfully self - mocking
cameo from an actress who,
in the interests of preserving one of the film's few legitimate pleasures, shall remain nameless here.

in superhero flicks (2016's Suicide Squad) and Oscar worthies (a

in 2015's The Big Short); there are some fascinating
supporting roles coming up, not least as Elizabeth I
in Josie Rourke's Mary Queen Of Scots.

And I loved the James Franco
cameo and everyone else from Freaks and Geeks
in their
supporting roles.

cameo role - this gripping novel represents one of the century's great story - tellers at the top of his form.
There are some great
cameos among the
support characters, but since they're not much more than a small picture, I suppose it's easy to put just about anyone
in this way.
