So
in order to build big arms it's
best that you build a
workout routine revolving around the three big lifts — the SQUAT, the DEADLIFT and the BENCH PRESS, and instead of doing 15 + sets of isolated biceps
curls and triceps extensions that will just overtrain your arms, you could do a simple routine and try to get the poundage's up
in time.
The seated barbell
curls have the
best effect if you perform them early
in your
workout, while still fresh.
This is most likely the wrong idea, but because I was so used to my entire body getting a
workout from swimming, at the gym, I would work out the entire body as
well... from: — seated leg press (90 lbs)-- leg
curls (55 lbs)-- hip adductors (85 lbs)-- leg kickbacks (40 lbs)-- ab crunch machine (35 - 40 lbs)-- abdominal twist (30 lbs)-- rowing machine — assisted dips, and the stairmaster all
in one session....
This was kind of a De-load
Workout, if you can call it that, because we had been killing upper body so hard, but we made sure to stick some
Curls and Push - downs
in there for
good measure.
I still had cry baby days, but I would go for a run or do shoulder presses, leg
curls or ab rollers
in my
workout room and I always felt
better.
Complete beginners shouldn't even be doing
curls, they should be doing exercises like pullups
in a
good beginners
workout.
