If there is one thing I like
in my platformer games, it's the ability to also make my own levels and plays those made of others.
The first is that the themes of each world differ from the usual «grass, fire, ice, etc.» motifs usually
found in platformers.

The visually appealing maps that were designed by Stanley allows the puzzles to shine even brighter, as it is perhaps some of the best scenery ever
used in a platformer.
Players could play as not only Mario, Luigi and Toad, but also a no - longer kidnapped Princess Peach, who returned to the role of a playable character
in a platformer for the first time since Super Mario Bros. 2.
To stir things up
in the platformer landscape, Ori utilizes some skill development tree options with three main streams to chose from improving your physical skills, attack skills and life / energy skills.
I constantly found myself spending more time exploring than I normally would
in a platformer because of how easy it was to remember what points of interest I hadn't searched thoroughly, and the game didn't have to provide an annoying notification reminder, it's just inherently stated in the game's design.
The latter is been
done in platformers before, but fusing it with Sonic's brand of speed - first - questions - later makes it feel fresh and new.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be sadistic, I had just never seen such
violence in a platformer that starred a child as the protagonist.
He can jump higher and farther than anyone else and since most of the puzzles
in this platformer involve getting to higher places, John can easily bypass the most difficult obstacles.
The graphics are decent, especially if you like retro platformers (looks sort of a mix between 8 - bits and 16 - bits, which the developer refers to as 12 - bits) and the game controls well, which is kinda
important in a platformer.
Needless to say, I was very conflicted when faced with the idea of controlling a renegade
chicken in this platformer, but I fought through my reservations to unearth a very interesting PS Vita game.
That might be easier to play but this game is so huge I'd prefer it on my big screen to be honest as for
waggles in platformers..
