It has some of the best, most crisp visuals and animations you will ever
see in a fighting game, with flashy, superbly directed cutscenes.
Personally I was never big into extra
modes in fighting games, just give me a good game and I'll make my own fun with friends in versus mode.
They work so well, and give players a chance to play as a character that they probably wouldn't get to
use in a fighting game otherwise.
I used to always be drawn to the girls
in fighting games as a child, and it's not because they were hot.
Thankfully, that is not the case here, and the game features some of the best action we have seen
in a fighting game in the recent past.
They let players who may not necessarily have an interest
in fighting games at the time get more familiar with the characters.
This enthusiasm is contagious, and this series and its
role in fighting game culture is one that I no longer want to ignore.
Like the backup quarterback in football, the most popular piece of
content in fighting games is the character reveal trailer of a game that hasn't been released yet.
All the big names of the original trilogy are here as playable characters, even the ones that you wouldn't think would even
fit in a fighting game.
However, as with any new
mechanic in fighting games, players need to understand what they are and how they work to get the most out of your experience.
With all of the action going
on in a fighting game it's really easy to overlook the work the artists put into the background.
When you
lose in a fighting game, there is no excuse other than that your opponent was better than you in that match.
If someone out there can really push to make the ultimate competitive fighting game experience like this, and it succeeds, we could possibly see a
revolution in the fighting games genre.
That being said, giving you little outside of the core gameplay is something that was very
common in fighting games this year.
Well, let's just say that Injustice 2 is leading the
charge in fighting games this year as we go on to look at the top 5 games coming out this month.
