Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... I do believe we needed a DM
in the transfer window but overall I think we did some good business, I am a fan of Flamini although he does make some rash tackles and accumulates alot of cards, he is not afraid to get stuck
in and put a
foot in which is what we need with all the little maestros we have, although I am not a massive Arteta fan
in the DM role as he does not have the pace and the physical presence and is not his natural
position.
But Mr Wenger if Xhaka has to stop tackling all together that means Xkaka will have to stay on his
feet and take on the one on one chase back towards his own goal, he would also need better
positioning by following the ball all around the pitch
in a defensive
position like Elneny does.
I know a lot of people that think LB and RB aren't very different
positions but you have to overcome muscle memory to turn your body
in the different direction, and you can not attack
in the same way you are used to as you have to cut into your stronger
foot when on the opposite side, which means your pace, which lets be honest is Bellerins strength, is near useless.
Of course Leicester are
in a great
position at the moment, and the 5 points lead at the top «obviously» gives them a cushion / comfort zone, which could also be their downfall, If player's become overconfident and arrogant by taking their
foot off the Gas!..
Forefoot Cush Pod Construction connects the midsole and outsole, helping to keep your
foot in a balanced, natural
position from heelstrike to toe - off.
Welbeck together with Giroud is always a joke and always looks painful on the eye, the formations becomes robotic and mechanical where Danny just runs out of
position time and time again trying to chase every ball blindly, after 25 minutes he is knocked out tired
in his
feet.
And, I know it's a throwback to past glories but when we had a solid back four, the likes of Pires, Ljundberg, Overmars could really come to the fore
in their wide
positions and do most of their best work on the front
foot!
The safety
position is a bit more of an unknown with the loss of Justin Ferguson, but he missed four games last year, and sophomore Davontae Ginwright got his
feet wet
in his absence.
Guard has become one of the more abundant
positions around as now
in addition to College guards, lots of teams are taking slow a
foot college tackles and kicking them inside and making them into very good guards.
Wenger lost the plot when he brought
in Giroud... what about the beautiful game involves having a lumbering striker who's main attribute is holding up play... our success with Wenger, and even before, came with pace and clinical striking up front, having a boss
in the midfield and having physically imposing CBs... what about Wright, Bergkamp, Anelka, Henry or RVP remind anyone of Giroud (minus the left
foot of course)... the formula was broken, which didn't have to be the end of our success, but when you adopt half - measures you can't expect things just to work themselves out on their own... at the very least Wenger should have brought
in some wingers that can consistently cross the ball and then spend significantly more time addressing our lack of success with set pieces... ultimately this is why we continued to struggle with consistency and continued to constantly play people
in the wrong
positions
then others
in quality teams like clemence, Schmeichel, etc and it is true that it is specialist
position and we don't realise what we have missed
in recent years... but Ospina has hardly put a
foot wrong and he should have a decent crack at it and for me the other
positions like cdm and striker are more important
in the short term.
