At this juncture in human history, the crucial issue is perhaps not the world mission of the church, rather the mission of the world
in fulfillment of the purpose of God's creation and redemption.
Each Standard has a title and includes, as necessary, descriptors that further clarify or define the Standard, so that the Standards may be developed further into leadership curricula and proficiency assessments
in fulfillment of their purposes.

God wants humanity to understand that nothing and nobody is beyond the scope
of His redemptive
purposes, and so by sending Jesus as the
fulfillment of the most violent
of religious texts, God not only revealed Himself by way
of a stark contrast to that violence, but also showed how to reinterpret and understand those violent events
in light
of the self - sacrificial God dying on the cross for the sins
of the whole world.
Our only hope is
in his using us,
in all our weakness, for the
fulfillment of his great
purpose, that men may have «life
