It is typically seen
in the
lumbar spine (lower back), and usually accompanied by straightening of the spine from the side view (loss of
lumbar lordosis).
Lordosis mostly affects squat and dead lift as it is
in the way of keeping neutral
lumbar spine (lower back) position when lifting weights.
You see, the hyperextended curve
in the neck will need to find compensation further down the spine and therefore, further
lordosis of the
lumbar spine will occur.
Overemphasized
lordosis in the neck will trickle down to the thoracic and
lumbar spine (Weingroff).
A healthy spine has neutral curves
in the sagittal plane that offset each other, called kyphosis

in ilapsosis - I - T band injury syndrome and cervical spasm and all the fall out from that.
Specific postural changes seen

lumbar shift, lateral leg rotation, and knee hyperextension.
This exercise strengthens and balance glutes as well and helps minimise overarching (
lumbar lordosis)
in the lower back.
Despite commonly - held beliefs to the contrary, anterior pelvic tilt is not associated with
lumbar lordosis angle
in standing, peak hip extension angle (ROM), low back pain incidence, or abdominal strength as measured by the leg lowering test.
