To deal with situations
in parliamentary systems where no clear majority to support a government exists, two or more parties may establish a formal coalition government, commanding a clear majority of the parliamentary members, or a party might enter into less formal alliances or agreements with other parties, or individual members, to allow the minority government to stay in office.
The Tories were hubristic and ambitious, like Hillary Clinton who chased a blow out win, which made even less sense in a presidential system than it did
in a parliamentary system where governments are stronger with larger majorities.

But
in parliamentary systems,
where party discipline is high and debate is relatively open, such methods are not particularly effective: voting is often strategic and reveals little
in terms of ideology.
There's a reasonable case here, particularly
in states like Britain or Australia
where wage determination and conditions of labour were highly politicised for a long period of time, and the politicisation had deep
system wide effects such as the general wage level, return to labour, and a proxy of power stronger than
parliamentary votes.
I have combed around the world to see
where else the term «Senior Minister» is used and found some useful precedent
in Singapore that is largely a
Parliamentary System with a Prime Minister heading cabinet and a President with ceremonial powers.
Supporters of the presidential
system note that
parliamentary systems are prone [citation needed] to disruptive «cabinet shuffles»
where legislators are moved between portfolios, whereas
in presidential
system cabinets (such as the United States Cabinet), cabinet shuffles are unusual.
Since prime ministers
in parliamentary systems must always retain the confidence of the legislature,
in cases
where a prime minister suddenly leaves office there is little point
in anyone without a reasonable prospect of gaining that legislative confidence attempting to assume the premiership.
From independence
in 1960 to 1966, Nigeria practiced the
Parliamentary system of Government
where we had the president Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe as the Head of State and the Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa as the head of Government.
The Irish
parliamentary system broadly works on a simple majority
system,
where the Taoiseach is elected by the Dáil when they achieve 50 % + 1 of the votes
in favour of their nomination.
The chief place
where parliamentary systems win out over the separately elected executive branch (at least
in terms of preventing a government shutdown) is that the government (i.e. executive) is chosen by the legislative body.

Parliamentary system where a candidate is limited to a single party, here
in New York, candidates often run simultaneously on several lines.
