The transit signals were detected
in photometric data from the Kepler satellite, and were confirmed to arise from planets using a combination of large transit - timing variations, radial - velocity variations, Warm - Spitzer observations, and statistical analysis of false - positive probabilities.

photometric data.

data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and NASA's Wide - Field Infrared Explorer, or WISE, satellite.
«We built several models of equal quality from the
photometric data, but we favored a model made of two lobes since some of the best adaptive optics observations suggest that the Trojan asteroid has a dual structure,» said Josef Durech, co-author and researcher at the Charles University
in Prague.

photometric analysis of the Kepler
data and an asteroseismic analysis of the host star (MStar = 0.948 + -0.051 Msun and Rstar = 0.964 + -0.018 Rsun).
Recent progress has been made to address this: (1) the discovery that gamma Cas is an eccentric binary system (P = 203.59 d) with unknown secondary type, (2) the accumulation of RXTE
data at 9 epochs
in 1996 - 2000, and (3) the collation of robotic telescope B, V - band
photometric observations over 4 seasons.
Due to the availability of
data from three observing runs separated by ~ 10 and 1 month timescales, we are able to demonstrate clear evidence for evolution of the
photometric amplitudes, and hence spot patterns, over the 10 month gap, although we are not able to constrain the timescales for these effects
in detail due to limitations imposed by the large gaps
in our sampling, preventing use of the phase information.
