They're so easy to make with only 4 ingredients and they're a great crunchy snack to reach for
in place of potato chips!
While I have not personally tried it with this recipe you should be able to use either tapioca starch or corn starch
in place of the potato starch.
To up nutrients I add roasted yam and a carrots and some red
pepper in place of the potato and for a little more kick i add extra red pepper and some thyme or rosemary.
For the dough: I used almond milk instead of regular milk, Earth Balance instead of butter, coconut sugar instead of regular sugar, coconut oil instead of olive oil, and 198 grams of Pamela's GF Artisan Flour
in place of the potato starch, brown rice flour and tapioca starch.
** Arrowroot or tapioca starch should
work in place of potato starch but the exterior will come out a little less crisp.
I use
them in place of potatoes in some recipes (like potato salad, and in some soups), because I'm allergic to potatoes.
