The one single thing Amazon could do to make the reading experience better is to include the books back cover information in the download.

An e-book publisher will take a Word or WordPerfect file, design an electronic cover for it, format it to look like a book on screen, and send it back to you in PDF format, which can be read by anyone with a computer using Adobe Acrobat.

A good cover should draw readers in, egging them into reading the back copy (which will lead to hopefully paging through the book, which will hopefully lead them to buy).
