All our cakes are lightly soaked
in a sweet syrup before frosting them.
For those unfamiliar with sorghum (I had only had
it in its sweet syrup form), it's a gluten - free grain that cooks like quinoa but has quite a bit more bite to it.

However, we do miss the occasional
sweet treat and I notice you use honey, date
syrup, and maple
syrup in some of your recipes.

syrup in it which makes the squares really

The ripe banana combined with apple juice, a little date
syrup, a splash of pure maple
syrup and a sprinkling of cinnamon makes them so wonderfully
sweet, providing the perfect base for the blueberries and raisins, which after cooking literally explode

You could always add
in a tablespoon on maple
syrup to the nut butter if it's not
sweet enough but the medjool dates will definitely help.

You will get very
sweet syrupy water and you can also blend the dates after 24h have passed (or earlier is
in hurry) so you will have a thicker

I made these with oat flour instead of buckwheat, coconut nectar instead of maple

sweet potatoes instead of orange ones (only ones available where I was
in South Africa) and they turned out DELICIOUS.

The second time I soaked the dates
in boiling water to soften them and then I just used a blender stick to blend the dates with
sweet potato and maple
syrup (much easier than a processor) I also made a budget version and used regular cocoa powder, 1/2 honey 1/2 maple
syrup, no pinenuts - just 1/2 cup of coconut flour and 1/2 cornflour, I also added chopped walnuts.
If anyone has trouble processing the dates and
sweet potatoes (my friend had this issue, couldn't get a smooth consistency at all), or if you wanted to make these but forgot to buy dates (happened to me)-- 1/2 cup liquid sweetener works great
in place of the dates and maple
syrup in this recipe.
Pudding 4 1/2 cups macadamia nuts — preferably soaked and dehydrated 4 1/2 tablespoons coconut butter 6 grams or about 3/4 cup Irish moss — soaked
in hot water for 10 or more minutes and drained 3/4 cup raw agave

I made half a batch using 150g of dates and only 1 scant tablespoon of maple
syrup, because I felt like they'd be a bit too
sweet considering all those dates I had already put
in!
So instead of having to eat a big piece of really
sweet Pecan Pie loaded with corn
syrup, your guests can get the same great pecan flavor
in a one - inch square sweetened with maple
