In the Wreck Diver course we look at the issues of navigation, of penetration, of how wrecks degenerate over time, and the proper respect to show to the past, since wrecks often involve loss of life.
If you're at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll

Scuba
divers love exploring over 300
wrecks — the island has more shipwrecks per square mile than anywhere else
in the Atlantic.
Some of the WWII
wreck dives are for advanced
divers only but many are
in water shallow enough for beginner 1 star PADI
divers as well.
The top sits
in just 5 meters and the rest drops away to around 30 meters meaning all levels of
diver can experience parts of this
wreck, which is festooned with healthy corals, sea fans and great barrel sponges
Scuba
divers should head to Wolf Rock and the
wreck dives at the Roy Rufus Artificial Reef, the largest artificial reef
in the Southern Hemisphere.
The sheltered conditions of these relatively shallow sites are ideal for
divers of all ages and skill levels, and
in addition to a variety of coral cover and marine life, there is a small plane
wreck to explore.
More advanced
divers can go deeper
in search of sharks and stunning
wrecks to explore.
Because guides can bring no more than four
divers into the
wreck at a time, it's advisable to reserve a tour well
in advance.
After exploring the
wreck, and taking
in the colonies of garden eels
in the surrounding sands,
divers can extend their bottom time by moving to an adjacent reef that rises to 35 feet.

Coron, on the other hand, is a
diver's haven, known for some of the best
wreck dive sites
in the world.
A fourth atoll reef called Banco Chinchorro is located north
in Mexican waters, and is a favorite among
wreck divers.
If you're not a
diver, the snorkeling
in Siete Pecados and Coral Gardens by the Lusong Gun Boat
wreck is an amazing experience as well.
Experience
wreck divers come to Honiara to explore a number of historic warships that lie at the lower limits or beyond the normal range or recreational diving.There are also a number of mid-depth
wrecks in the area, including a trio of Japanese ships that sit
in shallow water and can be accessed as shore dives.
If you are a serious
diver and that's your main interest, you'll be better
in Puerto Galera for the coral reefs and marine life, or
in Subic Bay for its world class
wreck diving.
There is also a fourth atoll reef, Banco Chinchorro, just to the north
in Mexican waters, which will be of particular interest to
wreck divers.
Some 150 years later, the bow of the
wreck remains largely intact at a depth of 80 feet, and
divers can swim through a shadowy interior that was featured
in the classic film The Deep.

in 1981 as a
wreck site, the RIVER TAW quickly became a popular stop for
divers of all experience levels.
