Grown from a 1990 idea by two Protestant evangelical Christian
homeschooling moms who wanted to provide complete instructional materials for homeschoolers, particularly those who are located
in a Third
World countries, where resources may be difficult to come by.
As a result, research has shown that
homeschooled children tend to develop better social skills than those who spend a large part of their days
in a classroom, rather than out
in the «real»
world.
The God - given purpose and vision which guides her family's
homeschool and her business is based
in the Holy Bible's first book: Genesis 12:2 - 3; which shows us that just as God gifted Christ Jesus into this
world to bless the whole
world, He has also gifted Christ - like - ones, or Christians, to bless and change the
world.
I stay home with my kids right now, and I
homeschool, but when they are grown I will probably go back to school, and obstetrics is a field I've considered just so that maybe I can make a bit of a good difference, and give women the best of both
worlds (like a water birth,
in a hospital with a doula or midwife with an OB on staff or back up
in case something went wrong.)
Our style of
homeschooling fits under the «unschooling» umbrella, meaning, for us, that we treat the
world as our classroom and follow the interests and passions of everyone
in the family.
I cover topics such as playdates,
homeschooling, and pagan parenting while also reflecting a natural parenting mindset: my son is attachment parented and is learning about how to be a responsible human
in terms of his impact on the
world and those
in it.

The reason they split, we're lead to believe, is because they couldn't agree on how to parent their six children: Jolie wants to
homeschool their children so they can become «worldly» as the family travels throughout the
world and among their homes
in France, New Orleans, Los Angeles and New York City, and Pitt supposedly wanted them to be enrolled
in school.
Awww, what a great story!!!! I have anxiety over my girls leaving (home) me!!!! I can't believe you
homeschooled for that many years... one did me
in (there wasn't enough medication
in the
world ha ha)!!!
With four kids home all day (we
homeschool), if I didn't label EVERYTHING — including the shelves
in the fridge — my
world would come to a grinding hault.
