I really am honored that, although I've only been blogging since June of this year, I have been nominated
in the Link Building category (thanks for nominating me, Justilien;)-RRB-.
Well, that's because both Jim Boykin and Debra Mastaler's The Link Spiel won a Search Blog Award
in the Link Building category.

Wiep's list of indispensable
link building tools are divided into
categories of one - click analysis,
in - depth analysis and
link targeting.
I suppose one could argue I started the whole
link building mess, back before Yahoo even had a
category for it, but I'm proud to say my clients and references are among the most respected and well known
in the industry.

in the following
categories:
build social emotional skills of elementary, middle and high school students that are scientifically
linked to academic achievement; deliver professional development services; use data to inform which students are
in greatest need of counseling support, and use resiliency curriculum to improve student success.
For example, if someone has focused on
building links to their site they may have a higher DA than someone who has much higher page views, and my site is definitely
in this
category — I know the traffic levels of other sites lower than Pretraveller on the list who receive much greater page views.
Colleague Elizabeth Ellis blogged here last month on the advantage that SharePoint provides with distributed content: the idea that you can
build a list of
links to websites
in a single source and then have SharePoint use that data to harvest the information, filter it by
category (e.g., Litigation) and display it to the appropriate group within your organization.
And I assume such lists are valuable for users who like to browse their options by organized
categories, but I rarely use them myself, prefering web browser favourites / bookmarks or simply searching the Google search box
built into my web browser (i.e., it is easier and quicker to type «CBC news»
in the Google box and hit enter than it is to browse through favourites or
link lists to find the appropriate
link).
