We can do everything that the church

In my experience we are too quick to try and fix someone or use the scriptures as a control mechanism and to slow to practise empathy and love..
And nowhere was this
done more frontally and forcefully than
in the introductory course
in the
New Testament.
Since «Christ» is bound up with the pictures of Jesus that have succeeded each other
in our history, and since those pictures are bound up with the judgments of historians, Altizer
does not ignore the work of the great
New Testament scholars.
