Record Jeep volume has been achieved largely on the strength of this model, sales of which grew by 2,536 units in 2016's first three months at a brand which added 4,863 sales in total.
Dodge brand sales of 47,356 units represented the largest sales volume of any Chrysler Group brand in September.
Acura hopes the products remedy the precipitous sales drop the brand experienced in 2011, when volume fell 15 percent to 13,129 units and market share slipped.
The 4C's limited volume will not help to substantially lift Alfa's global sales, which last year fell to about 100,000 units from 132,000 in 2011, but the car will bridge a product dearth until the brand launches eight new cars between 2014 and 2016.
