Organizations and individuals involved in
breastfeeding and infant and young child nutrition submitted suggestions and recommendations regarding infant feeding
practices to ensure the best possible health outcomes, growth and development, including avoiding the risks of an
inadequate supply of vitamin D for Canadian children.
Poor feeding
practices, such as
inadequate breastfeeding, offering the wrong foods, giving insufficient quantities, and not ensuring that the child gets enough food, contribute to malnutrition.
