First exhibiting in 1977, she has been making art since the late 1970s, in various media
including painting, performance, sculpture and
tape drawing installations.
Barlow dilutes the nature of her mundane media by her exquisite use of color, whether
included by virtue of fabric, electrical
tape or spray
paint.
An accompanying solo exhibition at the Mönchehaus Museum presented an untitled installation made in 2015 that is comprised of seven parts: four wooden towers and three columns incorporating a range of materials
including mirror foil, glass, plastic flowers, spray
paint, plaster, acrylic, woven polypropylene, medication instructions, coloured
tape, photographs, metal clips, magazine covers, and paper.
Materials that might otherwise be pulled from a painter's trashcan,
including paint - scuffed masking
tape, clippings from photo albums and incomplete works on paper, are positioned in bursts of action that may at first seem disorganized.
The objects are
painted with incredible verve and tenacity, and
include a jumble of the following items on colorfully activated grounds: watermelon slices, boom boxes, computers, pizza slices, cassette
tapes, hamburgers, basketballs, old cell phones, airplanes, fruit, sharks, water, sea turtles, cigarettes, sharpies and keyboards.
Although concerned with precision in craft, Geronimas often
includes incidental surface details such as bits of

paint along the edges of a work.

including: bleach, spray
paint,
tape and dye.
All materials provided,

tape, pencils, etc. participants are welcome to bring their favorite tools to use as well.
His exhibitions often
include site - specific installations created with
tape, similar to his public interventions, which complement his
paintings and freestanding sculptures.
Individual contributions from Vormstein
include some of his typical
paintings on newspaper, one hanging from the ceiling and swaying in the breeze of the air conditioning; he's also responsible — with help from the other artists — for a giant palm frond hastily
taped to one of the poles in the gallery.
Works created specifically for Gutstein Gallery will also be on display,
including installations by SCAD alumna Cory Imig (B.F.A. fibers) that incorporate balloons,
tape and
paint, and are designed to change during the course of the exhibition.

The show
includes a wood panel covered with black cedar shingles by Aaron Aujla (b. 1986); a vertical monochrome whose surface is marked by circular holes, which turn out to be the insides of plastic caps for cans of spray
paint, by Dylan Bailey (1985); and a ghostly square monochrome whose surface is made from horizontal rows of strapping
tape, translucent but reinforced with white string, by Chris Duncan (b. 1974).
Performed general building and individual office renovations
including masonry, metal stud drywall, carpet installation, drywall
taping and
painting, free standing panel and furniture systems
including cubicles.
Everything else to
paint our living room was
