Our program considers the physiological, psychological,
psychosocial, and cultural
aspects of food and healing, and
includes whole foods cooking classes, work with nutritional supplements, and mindful eating.
We have previously reported the immediate effects of this
psychosocial family - based intervention on independently observed
aspects of the caregiving environment and child social competence during unfamiliar peer entry,
including approach and regulatory behaviors.30 Thus, we have demonstrated the efficacy of the intervention in altering the targeted risk factors.
