A number of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL owners have reported on the Pixel User Community forums that
the included headphone adapter is not working on their phones.
The iPhone 8/7 version has the same features, and the Lightning - connector port is especially important with the iPhone 7 and 8, given the phones» lack of a headphone jack: The Lightning - connector port means you can use the iPhone's included headphones (or standard headphones via the iPhone's
included headphone adapter) while your iPhone is in the case.
Google will be
including a headphone adapter with the new phones but look at that thing — assuming you're not going to keep it plugged in all the time, there's a good chance of this thing getting lost.
Not exact matches
The good news is Apple
includes a set of wired buds that plug into the Lightning jack (where it charges), in addition to a 3.5 mm
headphone adapter.
The back of the Zeen is terraced and
includes volume controls, an SD card slot, a
headphone jack, power button, a miniUSB port, an AC
adapter port, and a proprietary port for the docking station.
The device's USB port (for charging and transferring content over an
included cable) is on the bottom right edge, next to a
headphone jack port that, annoyingly, doesn't accept standard mobile 3.5 mm jacks; you'll need to get a 2.5 mm
adapter to use it with most types of
headphones or headsets (the Cool - ER doesn't
include earphones).
These
include three USB ports,
headphone and mic ports, an SD / MMC slot that doubles as a 3G SIM card slot, and an LAN port into which you can insert the

We wouldn't be surprised to see the 3.5 mm
headphone jack disappear though, but if this does happen, as it has on the iPhones, it is likely Apple will
include an
adapter in the box.

Thankfully Apple
includes lightning «earpods» in the box and a lightning - to - 3.5 mm
adapter so you can plug in your traditional
headphones too.

Yeah, these are the first phones from Google not to ship with a
headphone jack, but the company is

headphone jack built into the phone can still be a nuisance, especially for me as I quite frequently use my phone for music at the gym.
As AnandTech points out, LeEco
includes a USB Type - C to 3.5 mm audio
adapter with each phone so you'll still be able to use your existing 3.5mm - based
headphones.
Surprisingly, a 0.25 - inch
headphone jack
adapter is not
included.
