Outside, you can walk the many paths throughout the wooded hilly area and explore the other structures there, including the Noh Theater, where traditional kabuki is still performed, the Sankōzō museum, where the most prized uncovered artifacts are on display, and the Hondō Main Hall, the complex's primary temple, where ceremonies and rituals are still conducted on a daily basis.

The controls are well mapped having translated appropriately from the Vita to the DualShock 4 controller with the control scheme consisting of pressing triangle to produce the contents of your inventory; pressing square to examine an inventory item, a character or part of the surrounding environment; pressing X to start or continue a conversation with a nearby character, select an item, use an item or walk; pressing O to cancel the selection or usage of an item; changing the direction of the left analogue stick to move the cursor; changing the direction of the right analogue stick to pan the camera to the left or right; pressing left, right, up or down on the d - pad or alternatively changing the direction of the left analogue stick to navigate through the inventory items; pressing the share button takes you to the share feature menu; and pressing the options button to display the pause menu including immediate access to the main menu, hints, character gallery and saving.

Lost Dimension's replayability stems from many standout features including the randomly generated traitor resulting in the story and gameplay never being entirely the same, a variety of main quest and sub quest missions, an entire set of new quests and sub quests called Memories are unlocked for the second playthrough, 42 tips files which are hidden throughout the environments across multiple playthroughs displaying as luminous objects uncovering secrets of the Pillar and a New Game + feature allowing for statistics and special abilities to carry over from one playthrough to the next which collectively provides dozens of hours of replay value.

It's disappointing, then, that two of the main selling points — the OLED stat display and the tactile feedback — are restricted to functionality with just three default games, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and Minecraft.
