The exhibition

Several series
of his
photographs were collated into now - famous books,
including Lady, Lisa Lyon with Bruce Chatwin (1983), Black Book with Ntozake Shange (1986), 50 New York
Artists (1986), Some Women with Joan Didion (1989) and Flowers (1990).
This exhibition covers a span
of over four decades (c. 1929 — 70),
including a total
of some forty paintings,
photographs by the
artist, works on paper, and sculptures in order to explore the change and continuity in Still's ideas and pictorial forms.
The first book, devoted to Hurricanes, is edited by Jay Clarke, curator
of prints, drawings, and
photographs at the Clark Art Institute, and
includes authors» essays by Phong Bui, curator, art critic, editor, and publisher
of the Brooklyn Rail; Ms. Clarke; Orville Schell, environmentalist, art critic, contributing author to The New Yorker and director
of the U.S. - China Institute at the Asia Society, New York; and the first part

of archival materials
includes installation
photographs, correspondence, and
artist - drawn floor plans exhibited for the first time.
Also on exhibit will be letters,
photographs, and ephemera from students and fellow
artists including Fielding Dawson, Franz Kline, Robert Rauschenberg, and Stefan Wolpe;
photographs of Jack Tworkov at Black Mountain College by Robert Rauschenberg, and several original works by Rauschenberg from 1952.
This presentation, which
includes photographs from each
of the
artist's major series, is edited by the
artist, P.S. 1 Director Alanna Heiss, and Peter Boswell.
He then
included some
of my
photographs in a group show he co-curated with Marilyn Minter and Fabienne Stephan at White Columns — Early Work — with gallerists who had once been
artists: Gavin Brown, Maureen Paley, Jeffrey Deitch, Pat Hearn, and Konrad Lueg (aka Fischer!).
Included in the holdings are thousands
of photographs, documents,
artist letters, publications, ephemera, audio, video and film that document the Walker's long history with numerous

of Fontainebleau by the little - known French photographer Constant Alexandre Famin; a pastel completed earlier this year by Jasper Johns; a 3 x 5 inch Cezanne figure drawing; a new 6 1/2 x 10 foot landscape drawing by Ugo Rondinone; a digitally - manipulated
photograph of the musician Björk by Inez van Lamsweerde; a small piece by an outsider
artist known as the «Philadelphia Wireman,» who carefully bound his drawings up with bits
of wire so they are barely visible; a recent charcoal on canvas by Gary Hume; and a 1949 sketchbook by Tony Smith.
Also
included are reproductions
of Wolfson's new series
of wall - mounted sculptures comprised
of bumper stickers overlaid on inkjet prints, candid
photographs of the
artist taken by Gaea Woods, and a text by the
artist providing context for the visual material.
This conversation is with Karen Halverson, an
artist that has been
photographing for over 30 years whose work is in many prestigious collections
including the San Francisco Museum
of Modern Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, the J. Paul Getty Museum, Beinecke Library at Yale University among others.
As critical responses to the exhibition emphasized, New York has long been an important source
of inspiration and material for the
artist, who first came to the city in 1960; the exhibition
included the work I Love New York, Crazy City (1995 — 1996), a three - volume scrapbook
of architectural
photographs, maps, hotel bills, receipts, flyers, and other souvenirs that Genzken began composing during a stay
of several months.
In P.S. 1's third floor hallway, Jonathan Hartshorn presents the mixed media installation, When Skies Are Grey (2007), which
includes drawings and found objects like the
artist's family
photographs, a map
of the United States, an imitation wood clock, and a note from his father.
Showcasing works that have transformed the public space
of the city and also altered public expectations and the role
of art outside the museums and galleries, the exhibition will
include renderings, models,
photographs and video footage
of work by
artists such as Red Grooms, Christo and Jeanne - Claude, and Kara Walker, among others.
This exhibition features
photographs of prominent Twentieth - and Twenty - First - Century
artists from the Albright - Knox Collection
including Fred W. McDarrah, Henri Cartier - Bresson, Hollis Frampton, Marcel Duchamp and Jasper Jones.
Organized by the Aperture Foundation, this traveling exhibition features more than 40
photographs by Mickalene Thomas along with a selection
of images by fellow contemporary
artists —
including Derrick Adams, Renée Cox, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Lyle Ashton Harris, Deana Lawson, Zanele Muholi, Malick Sidibé, Xaviera Simmons, Hank Willis Thomas and Carrie Mae Weems — whose work is a source

Each
artist has been given a gallery dedicated to their work that
included a survey
of their painting and drawings as well as intimate biographical information

The first installation features 20

of the
artists whose work appears in the first issue,
including Anthony Barboza, Roy DeCarava, Louis Draper, LeRoy Henderson, Beauford Smith, Ming Smith, and Shawn Walker.
Thirty years later, a new edition is released
including over seventy previously unpublished
photographs and a thoughtful introduction and afterward on the
artists» collaboration during this era
of urban art.
Her contribution to the exhibition
includes sweaters with hand - knit political jokes and riddles, as well as «cover girl» self - portrait
photographs featuring the
artist in deadpan poses revealing the
artist's sly sense

An exhibition at Dulwich Picture Gallery is the first major retrospective
of this elusive
artist in the UK and showcases more than ninety
of his works,
including oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, and
photographs.
The first in a new series
of works triggered by the uprisings
of the early 2010s,
including the Arab Spring and riots across global locations
including London and the
artist's home town
