Mindfulness training is an intervention based on eastern meditation techniques, that helps
increasing awareness of the present moment, enhances non-judgmental observation, and reduces automatic responding (Kabat - Zinn 2003).
In Mindful Parenting (MP) training, parents learn to pay attention to their children and their parenting in a non-judgmental way, to
increase their awareness of the present moment with their child, and to reduce automatic (negative) reactions to their child (Bögels et al. 2010; Kabat - Zinn and Kabat - Zinn 1997).
