The TACA
Craft Fairs are produced by the Tennessee Association of
Craft Artists (TACA), an
independent, statewide nonprofit organization and recipient of the Tennessee Governor's Award in the Arts.

571 Projects supports the work of dynamic emerging and mid-career
artists by bringing conceptually strong, well -
crafted work to the notice of an engaged art going and collecting public, via special exhibitions,
independent curatorial practice and an informed art consulting practice.
Jessica Cochran is an
independent curator and educator, interested in emerging art, social practice at the intersection of
craft,
artists» books, and the history and theory of curatorial practice and the art market.
As part of their residency, the four
artists spent a portion of their time teaching their
craft to students at the Modinagar University, in between extended
independent exploration and drawing sessions.
Georgia O'Keeffe: Living Modern takes a new look at how the renowned modernist
artist proclaimed her progressive,
independent lifestyle through a self -
crafted public persona — including her clothing and the way she posed for the camera.
With
independent galleries and clothing designers, a collaborative space for
artists and designers working across disciplines, and the Museum of
Craft and Design nearby, students have many opportunities to contribute to the tenor of this vibrant community.
