The U.S. dollar
index, which measures the greenback
against a basket of
other currencies, moved up to 84.42 today, its highest level since July 2010.
The higher weighting of the U.S. in the
index resulted from capital growth, new developments and
other capital expenditure, as well as continued depreciation of many
currencies against the U.S. dollar.
