In 2013, Mark DeBoer, associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Virginia and his colleagues fed toddlers and children between the ages of two and four one percent and skim
milk, and found that children who drank
milk which has a higher amount of protein
than whole fat
milk, gained more weight and had a higher body mass
index than those who drank
whole milk or even 2 percent
milk.
