the Indie Author sales we host here at MGC.
Indie author sales are on the rise in both units and dollars, but the media continues to report only the traditional publisher's tale of woe.
To the best of my understanding this doesn't include
indie author sales.
After spending some time yesterday trying to find a book for my mother and absolutely refusing to pay $ 10.99 — $ 13.99 for e-books, I appreciated going to
the Indie Author Sales listing and finding books that didn't cost the price of a meal out.
They do not take into account
indie author sales from Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, Barnes and Noble Nook Press or Kobo Writing Life.
On the other hand,
indie author sales have gone up.
There are a few reasons why

With the flood of new
Indie authors to the marketplace,
sales have diminished considerably.
I would be willing to bet my bottom dollar that 99.9999 % (I might be missing a few nines) of all
indie authors would love to have the problem of decreased
sales due to this legal battle because that would mean they have a BIG 5 contract and are selling a lot of books.
From my personal experience and that of other
authors I know,
indie press houses have a poor record of sending monthly or quarterly
sales reports, even if these reports are stipulated in the contract.
It seeks answers to a wide range of questions, including
indie author income, number and length of books published, formats (ebook, print, audio or foreign), best marketing tools, retailers that result in highest
sales, and the
authors» goals with regard to
indie publishing.
As more bloggers and
authors see the ease of publishing with Scrivener and Kindle Direct, they'll begin migrating toward
Indie publishing since their profit margins will be higher per
sale and there are many top notch tools that make it easy to publish on your own these days.
Clearly, I as an
indie author with very limited
sales of a book or two a week should not be grouped with top
authors selling a book or two a minute.
It's also the most productive time for
indie authors, because their book marketing efforts can translate into book
sales.
And as more and more
indie authors are picked up by big houses based, not on queries and submissions and the traditional system, but on established
sales records, it could be a viable alternative to a frustrating and, at times, broken system.

sales will increase the more I use the excellent features they have on offer to help
Indie and self - published

Remember, if the
