eGamer feels that indie is the way of the future for the games industry, and today we recognise
the indie games we felt that truly elevated the indie scene above and beyond.
But it's so cool that in
indie games it feels like there's no limit on what you can make your game about and what the gameplay can be.
Not exact matches
With the most impressive graphics I've seen in an
indie game, this first person psychological - thriller
felt like a AAA title at times.
Fe is being hold back by a few ancient choices when it comes to
game and level design, but certainly is a beautiful
Indie game that, as the kids like to put it, will hit you right «in the
feels».
It combines the simple elegance, bountiful content and colourful enjoyment of so many
indie works with the production values and design genius of the generation's best Triple - A titles into a
game that
feels fresh and contemporary, but also mindful of what has come, and worked, before.

game feels like
indie version of heroes, but gameplay is broken at this state.
The new levels
feel rich and generous, and will absolutely reinvigorate the
game for anyone who played it to death at
indie gaming events.
Seems rushed and incomplete all around, could earn a 8 if it was an
indie game, but this
game doesn't
feel like coming from a great publisher at all.

gamers feeling left out because Nine Parchments was available on all the other consoles / platforms, well
feel left out no longer as the
indie co-op magical blaster is hitting...
I
feel the same for most of the Switch's
game library, since most of them are just ports of old
games and subpar
indie titles (not all
indie games are bad).
So we have waited until this new world stabilized and now we
feel we can bring The
Game back for
indie writers.
Going from fledgling
indie developer to massive company producing high - quality
games is a great
feeling, and one that may even hopefully provide a basic but helpful glimpse into how the industry works for those playing it.
That's what we wanted to do from the get go: a lot of attention to detail and to making
games as a whole experience, to people to
feel that it's not
indie or a
game made by five people in a small office somewhere in the world.
God, criticising an
indie title, one that has had a lot of clear effort put into it, for its graphics always
feels like a harsh thing to do since the focus for them and their limited budget should always be gameplay, but there's no getting around the fact that Project Temporality is simply visually boring

I understand that we need PlayStation Plus 2 player multiplayer

As for the artwork, it's beautiful and gives you that «unique»
indie feeling but with a mix of familiarity from
games we've played in the past.
Steam's Thanksgiving sale is in full swing (as you doubtlessly know), but as an aficionado of
Indie games, I can't help but
feel that some of the smaller titles offer some of the the most worthwhile savings.
In many ways, by featuring SMB, Fez and Braid in this film they've selected them to represent the entire
indie game industry and I
feel that's a great disservice.
Although, I don't
feel that single player
games are going anywhere, especially since
indie developers do a fantastic job of filling that void.
I kind of
feel like a jerk for asking this, but what is to stop someone from making a copy of the
indie game themselves from the USB and selling (illegal) copies themselves?

feel good about those
games and
feel that they would do well in the current
indie game climate.

indie side, I worry about the fixation on
game jams and compos, for which I
feel at least partially responsible.
So it stands out to me whenever I

games not dictated by the press and whatever
indie darling showed up that week.
There's a trend where
game developers create
indie studio's but don't want to

game may be a side scroller like a lot of
indie games, but from what was shown in the trailer was simply sublime and beautiful and we
felt somewhat guilty for initially deriding the
game when we first discovered it was an

game development I was a guitarist / singer in various rock bands over the past 20 years and if I learned anything from being a musician is you are nothing without the people who come to your shows, buy your music, and etc. so it's important to interact with your fans and I
feel this is something that needs to be carried over as
indie developer.
Probably The Chinese Room's best
game, Rapture is short enough to
feel indie and the lack of on - screen characters gives it a lower - budget
feel, but everything else about it is sumptuous.
Journey is widely considered one of the best
indie games ever released for the Playstation 3, ThatGameCompany delivered the perfect experience that made you
feel without words, made you follow a story that was shown through the experience and the world itself.
Let's take a look at a few examples of
indie games that arguably
felt like triple - A.
I've been in and around the
game industry for around 20 years, so I
feel that I have the knowledge, experience, and history to be able to comment on such matters since I know the kinds of things that go into
game development, both on an
Indie level and a AAA level.
Although we've covered Crush Your Enemies in the past, we
felt like now was the perfect time to go back and revisit one of our favorite RTS
indie games of 2016.
Suda51: I got particular influence from Hotline Miami, I played both 1 and 2 and I
felt they were fantastic
games, on par with all the AAA
games, and that
game really changed my perspective of
indie games, and what they're capable of.
I have found as an
indie developer that you almost need to market yourself as much as your actual
games — one of the reasons that people like
indie games is because they
feel closer to the individual developers.
Now that Axiom Verge has finally arrived — just in time to grab a piece of the spotlight as part of Sony's Spring Fever
indie promotion — my initial
feelings have been confirmed: Fans of retro - inspired platformers owe it to themselves to play this
game.
If you're just making an XBox Live
Indie Game for fun or as a learning process and don't care whether or not it sells or makes any money, you can safely ignore all of this and just do whatever you
feel like.
Fortunately there is hope from
indie developers making great horror
games, but while impressive and certainly scary they're usually quite short, have a smaller audience, and lack the epic
feel of a Resident Evil or Evil Within
game.
It doesn't do anything wrong — at least nothing that you can put your finger on — but it doesn't
feel particularly right either, instead coming across at a halfway point between a triple - A
game, and a small
indie title.
