A Bird Story, the sequel
of sorts to 2011's hit
indie game To the Moon, is set for release next Friday, developer Ken Gao has announced.
Bundles typically have some
sort of theme, like
indie games, specific genres, or publishers.
While Humble got its start promoting
indie titles that often didn't have big name publishers and were seeking not just sales but exposure, that's no longer the only
sort of game the store sales.

sort of crafting has been fairly common in
indie games since Minecraft made the scene, but I've never seen it used like this.
We have the Vikings tv series on History (my favorite show on cable), really cool
indie games like The Banner Saga and Jotun, the Minnesota Vikings are getting a new stadium and, at least, the people
of Minnesota will be able to go to the Super Bowl (yes, the Vikings are also my favorite football team... you can see my life starting to suck, can't you) and,
of course, all
sorts of metal featuring Vikings.
Today at the EA presentation on the E3 2016, they announced an
indie game called Fe by Zoink Games, part
of the EA Originals collaboration program, where you are a little cub in a journey to save the forest from a mysterious evil that lurk in it, adventuring in the beautiful atmosphere
of the forest where every living being has their own «song» or some
sort of sound communication in which you can interact with them using your own sound waves or «song».
It has not managed to drive a single female
game developer out
of the industry (the opposite actually, as it has provided financial and material support to female
indie devs to get their
games published) nor has it harmed anyone, or caused any
sort of legal issue.
As someone who reports on mobile apps for an
indie games news site, all
sorts of innovative ideas and fun concepts are e-mailed to me daily.
Indie games were usually PC only affairs that had to be specifically sought out and downloaded, and would rarely get any
sort of wide - spread release or appeal.
Outlast... did Sony give some
sort of Mandate to
Indie Devs that PS4
games have to be creepy / horror / survival / etc...?
This approach speaks volumes to the
sort of indie concept behind TSA: it's all about the fans, the fun, and the culture
of game development.
So during this period (after magazine bundles and before Steam / app stores) it was VERY difficult to develop and shift any
sort of indie game as there was just no way to get it to the people.
The German
indie studio had already put out DUX on the Dreamcast in 2009, a shooter that landed somewhere between those aforementioned titles and Sega's own retinas - scorching Fantasy Zone, and it received warmhearted praise for its tribute
of sorts to CAVE - and Treasure - style bullet hell
games past.
The list

of Mobile,
indie, PC, console
games etc... and so it shows that it's not simply all mobile
games but the company is making a concerted effort to ensure their store is packed with all
sorts of games.

gamers to see what's out there and get that
sort of gateway into what is essentially another entire gaming industry, with just as many choices as the mainstream one they're used to.
I'm all for great
games from great developers but I am so bored with the typical «
indie 2D platformer» schtick that they all
sort of flow into the same pastiche.
If you're expecting some
sort of AAA polish on this
indie game, you'll find yourself disappointed.

of sorts for the iOS, this modestly priced title will have you commanding a rather burly - looking, mullet - headed dude in a Miami Vice-like outfit, taking on zombie chicken and zombie fishes.»
There were a few booths with
Indie Retro
games which could open all
sorts of doors for the future
of the show.

Hell, building a big
game of any
sort, especially when you're a solo dev or small
indie team, runs the risk
of everything falling apart when you inevitably hit the wall.
And while
indie games have enjoyed a very good year, it's rare for an independent
game to achieve the
sort of financial success that would muster a flicker
of interest among triple - A publishers, who increasingly are about going big or going home.
