indie games on console, or do the triple - A blockbusters take up too much of gamers» time?
You know, this is something that I've also concerned myself about
indie games on consoles: Give too much freedom and you'll end up getting a ton of garbage.
We discuss how indie game, Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King became unsuccessful until it was released on the Nintendo Switch, becoming one of the best
indie games on the console.

indie sidescrollers that are
on ps now or the
game you're getting for free
on either

Indie developers have capitalized
on Nintendo's hybrid
console with
games like Shovel Knight selling better
on Switch than any other platform.
With the Nintendo Switch being the new Nintendo
console on the scene, it is understandable that anyone who has developed or published an
indie game would like to bring it the Switch if possible and while many have done so already, not every one of them has done it to the scale Nicalis are doing it!
Part of the fun of
indie games is that even if you miss it the first time around because it wasn't
on a
console you owned, it'll usually pop up
on others if it's had a decent amount of success, even if it was a
game that was tied up in exclusivity deals at the beginning.
And if you want «a ton» to just mean 2000 of something, between all of the shovelware
on steam, all the
indie games released
on various
consoles, all AA and AAA titles, etc. you're going to hit that number of new
games pretty easily.
Stardew Valley was an
indie darling back when it released
on PC and other
consoles, but the Switch could be argued as the very best place to play the
game.
Indie games have been selling very well
on Switch, with Stardew Valley, Overcooked, and several others in particular finding a lot of success
on the
console.
Indie farming sim Stardew Valley has the feel of a
game that would fit perfectly
on the Nintendo Switch and owners of the hybrid
console have been waiting for release ever since it was confirmed to be getting a Switch release.
Nintendo already had a ton of great
games in development for the
console and
indie developers were lining left, right and centre to get their
games on the
console that was proving to be a hit with everyone.

The best way to incentive to developers to not create trash free
games, is to only support quality premium
games, lets change this and ios
games will be the future and big
console games will have their
games at least
on ipad, and

on Wii U * I do believe DQX has sold better
on Wii U than PS4 in Japan.
It would probably be in their best interest, too, to make a minecraft - type
game and put it
on WiiU since there's literally none
on the
console now (just clones /
indie games) And the fact that Lego / Tt
games hasn't abandoned WiiU yet (jurassic world lego, lego dimensions coming to WiiU) might mean we could see it come to the
console if this is real.
As time goes
on, it just keeps getting proven that XB1 is the better
console... even the «paper spec advantage» of the PS4 is disappearing quickly... all this time, and the «
gamer's
console» can't prove that it makes better
games, just more
indie games that they call exclusive.
