Around 30 older students from Year 11 at Alleyn's act as mentors on the scheme, supporting
individual pupils in the classroom, carrying out administrative tasks and supervision, and, importantly, acting as role models for the younger children.
So, the results were that the physical design factors associated with
individual classrooms account for explaining 16 per cent
in the variation
in learning over a year, of the
pupils in those spaces; so, 16 per cent is a lot.
