Induction of labor has recently been on the rise for purposes
of convenience or to accommodate busy
schedules.
When I went into
labor the night before the
scheduled induction, Ursula came to our house in the middle
of the night even though it looked like we might have a long way to go.
The
induction of labor, a
scheduled C - section, or the use
of a lot
of medications during birth, can interfere with breastfeeding and cause a delay in the onset
of breast milk production.
Unless she has a
scheduled induction, she won't know when
labor will begin until she starts to notice the signs
of labor.
