AISL seeks to advance new
approaches to and evidence - based understanding of the design and development of STEM learning in
informal environments; provide multiple pathways for broadening access to and engagement in STEM learning experiences; advance innovative research on and
assessment of STEM learning in
informal environments; and develop understandings of deeper learning by participants.
Demonstrate understanding of

approach ESSA with good faith and full transparency and, as a first step, establish formal and
informal groups of educators, including principals, to draft new plans for accountability and
assessment systems.

approach to services,
assessment and treatment are guided by the ecological context of the family, incorporating information about formal and
informal community supports (Winters and Metz 2009; Winters and Pumariega 2007).
