ingredient zolpidem, which is found in Ambien and its generic version.
The FDA had determined that 15 percent of the 5.7 million American women using
zolpidem products (the active
ingredient in Ambien) were experiencing driving impairment eight hours after taking the drug, compared with 3 percent of the 3.5 million male
zolpidem users.
