I've never baked at high altitude, so I'm unsure of the effects on macarons — my initial thoughts were that you can't tweak the
ingredients too much because then ratio would be off, but the meringue may take longer
to beat
up, the sugar will probably boil more quickly, and baking time or
temperature may need adjusting.

ingredients correctly, and make sure your candy thermometer is working properly — if you heat the syrup
to the wrong
temperature, it might not set
up properly.
