initial quality problems in vehicles, automotive research firm J.D. Power and Associates said Wednesday.

problems will show up over time... Let's see a two or five year comparison of a Chevy vs. Toyota, or Chrysler vs. Subaru, or Ford vs. Nissan... I could be wrong, in fact I actually hope so; however, based on my experience I don't think the results would be the same as in the
INITIAL quality survey...
Initial quality and long term durability are 2 completely different horses, in the case of these Ford turbos and double clutch transmissions, I'd be willing to bet that they will give their owners
problems down the road, especially those folks whose idea of maintenance is to add fluid to the window washer tank.
The proof is found in the fact Kia finished second only to Porsche in the J. D. Power
Initial Quality Study, which examines the
problems experienced by vehicle owners during the first 90 days of ownership.
While Power calls it the «
Initial Quality Survey,» the survey owners about actual repairs needed in the first 90 days of ownership (defects and malfunctions) but in recent years IQS also asks about things owners don't like about the car («design - related
