MADISON, NJ (April 12, 2012)-- Pfizer Animal Health, an international leader in the advancement of animal health, and the American Humane Association, the nation's leading advocate on behalf of children and animals, announced the completion of the first round of an
innovative research study on the benefits of animal - assisted therapy (AAT) on
pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Her
innovative research has focused on identifying posttraumatic stress symptoms in childhood
cancer survivors and their families, and the development, evaluation, and dissemination of assessment tools and interventions for
pediatric traumatic stress.
